My Name and Five Elements
Everyone has their own name. A name means a lot of things, like family, country or the wish of their parents. Sometimes people choose a name for their baby because they want their children to achieve the meaning of their names. My name is Liwo Huang, and Huang is my family name. I like my name because I guess no one has the same name as me.
My father chose this name in the dictionary, and before he chose this name. He found a diviner to look at my face and hands. The diviner said that I was missing water which is one of the five elements, so my father wanted to find a name that had the water. In Chinese culture, the world consists of five main elements which are fire, soil, water, gold, and trees.
Finally, he found the name Liwo because Wo is a word that has the water element. However, my name means feeding the land and dropping down immediately. Also, my old brother was missing fire element, so he had a name with fire.
In conclusion, my name is a good name, and I am proud of my father, even if this name sounds a little bit strange.
Some Chinese people believe the diviners and you are one of them. In addition, can you post a picture for us?
